The Why of this Programming Phase from TJ:
Very simply, more lean-body mass equals more calories burned at rest. This, along with a good nutrition plan, equals more body fat loss. Also the gaining of lean body mass equals greater strength gains down the road. More strength equals less bone density loss and a higher hormonal panel. Your ability to deal with stress goes up, along with your ability to carry your kids without your arms aching.
The conditioning phase of the programming is concentrating on the aerobic base. You can't be fit without it. You can't jump the chasm that is aerobic effort (70-80% of max heart rate) and expect to do well sprinting up a hill or competing in a who-can-hang-on-the-jungle-gym competition with your kids.

Bring friends and family—no experience necessary for Bootcamp classes, and first class is free! All we need is our online waiver completed prior to class. TJ’ members can also try a class without it counting towards membership allotment. Email allison@tjsgym.com to make it happen!
*Please note these additions will replace the All Levels classes in San Rafael.
