TJ's Gym Weekly News 08/22/2019
Message from TJ
Goodbyes are hard. Just as we were preparing for Will Egan’s departure, we got news of another pending loss to our community. Coach Anthony will soon be moving to New Mexico with his girlfriend, Sasha, so he can be closer to his family during a time when his help is needed back home. I’ll have a lot more to say about this when the time comes, but for now, suffice it to say that we are endlessly grateful for Anthony’s many contributions to our business and to our community, and as a friend. Someone like Anthony cannot be replaced, but I have learned over the years that the ship moves forward in the face of transitions, and I know this will be true again. There is always good that comes from change, and we are really excited about some new coaching staff members who bring to our program and our community a welcomed fire and connectivity that I can recall in Anthony when he first started, and that he has managed to nurture and sustain so many years later. Most importantly, we hope for Anthony that this move brings exactly what he needs in order to be there for his family and to grow in his own pursuits. He is a gift to so many, and we are lucky to have benefitted from that gift for as long as we have.
Please stay tuned for a sendoff party in our TJ’s Gym style.
Thank you, Anthony.

Labor Day Schedule
Schedule change announcement.
As we routinely do, over the course of the past year, we have audited attendance at the Monday-Friday 9:30am classes in San Rafael. Attendance at this time slot has been very inconsistent, and typical class size has become so small that it is no longer a viable group offering. We have thus decided to transition this time slot from a coached class to an Open Gym hour. Weekend class times will remain as scheduled.
This change will go into effect the week of September 2nd. We will have a holiday schedule (details coming soon) on September 2nd.
HELP KIDS WITH CANCER AND GET LOCAL EXPOSURE FOR YOUR COMPANY OR BUSINESS THROUGH THE ST. JUDE WALK SAN FRANCISCO and a fundraiser close to our hearts!
Many of you know about our younger daughter, Hollis, and her long-term fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, called JUGGLING FOR JUDE. On September 28th, Hollis will be kicking off the St. Jude Walk event at the SF Zoo and will juggle her soccer ball throughout the 5K route. She is seeking sponsors for her efforts, or even just small donations in support of childhood cancer. To find out more, or to donate, please go HERE. Thank you, as always, for keeping in your minds families fighting the unimaginable.
