With our annual TJ’s Gym Rodeo right around the corner (sign up at the link below!!!!), I asked Coach Anthony, now living it up in New Mexico, to give me his top-ten reasons why EVERYONE should participate:
1. Pushes you to create a plan and accomplish goals.
2. Test your fitness.
3. One big fitness party
4. The Rodeo is fun because you love working out. Duh.
5. Make new friends.
6. Hang with old friends.
7. Great excuse to buy a new workout outfit, or 2 or 3.
8. The spectators. This is something I think some people are scared of, when in reality it’s the most powerful factor making the experience so impactful. The Rodeo is the one thing year after year that encapsulates everything that makes TJ’s Gym special: the community.
9. The rodeo is a genuine path to earning celebratory food and drink!
10. Because it’s hard. And doing hard things makes us feel alive.
11. Everybody loves a TJ’s event shirt.
OUR ANNUAL RODEO COMPETITION WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16th AT TJ’s GYM SAN RAFAEL!
Sign up HERE to be part of a team of three for our annual TJ's Gym Rodeo, a fun and friendly fitness competition for TJ's members to be held on Saturday, November 16th at TJ's Gym San Rafael. The competition will start at approximately 8am and should end by noon. More details as we know more!
Once you sign up, you'll be placed in the athlete pool. TJ will create even teams of three to the best of his ability. All workouts will be inclusive of all three team members, as workouts are designed so that higher-skilled athletes can take on elements that lower-skilled athletes can't, and there are other elements accessible to all athletes. Teens will be included in teams with adults, and modifications will be made accordingly.
The fee for participating is $40, and your TJ's Gym account will be charged through MindBody. T-shirt purchase is optional and will be handled separately.
Athletes who participated in the past have had an absolute blast. Ask around if you're unsure!
You MUST sign up by end of day on Sunday, November 10th, or you will not be able to join the fun!
