WELCOME BACK!

*Blog photo does not have anything to do with blog text. Photo is Steve, who’s back in group classes after 699 days away and years and years of membership prior to that. It sure is great to welcome back long-timers like Steve!

“She’s Back”

I haven’t seen her in two years.

We met twice per week for 6 years before Covid.

She was worried because of her age, so she moved temporarily to be closer to her family.

Now she’s back.

We had a great time.

She’s going to be sore. She’s also going to get stronger.

Is this a sign?

On Sunday I stood in the Mill Valley gym looking around.

Memories flooded back from the past twelve years.

So many people. Such a great community.

Where have the ones who aren’t here now gone?

I constantly wonder what people are doing to take care of themselves.

What motivators are they using in their lives to get better?

I preach being uncomfortable, because that’s where change happens.

Are they doing that somewhere else?

Have they chosen to an easier, less effective route, simply because they can’t handle uncomfortable right now?

Are they doing nothing?

It all makes sense if they are.

Everything is still weird. It’s not the party after the storm we thought it was going to be.

There is anxiety. There is a heaviness. There is lack of motivation.

I guess what I want to say is that I get it. We get it.

We are still here.

Ready when you are.
